Jordan Cox and Sam Billings to join Lahore Qalandars squad

After Afghan spinner Rashid Khan joining the Lahore Qalandars squad,  English wicket-keeper batters Jordan Cox and Sam Billings will join the team on February 23 and 25 respectively.

Meanwhile another latest development is that Shai Hope will be leaving the squad to join his national West Indies team as the new ODI captain. Talking about tour with the Lahore Qalandars, Shai Hope said, “I enjoyed my time here. It is a fantastic tournament and I had a great time at Qalandars’ camp. I hope to join them back soon.”

Previously, all-rounder Liam Dawson was also ruled out of the Lahore Qalandars squad after suffering an ankle injury in a match against Karachi Kings.

The Shaheen Shah Afridi led team is the defending champions of the PSL 8 after their latest win against the Quetta Gladiators is sitting on the second spot in the points table.

The winner of the PSL 2023 will lift the Supernova Trophy and collect a cheque of Rs120 million, while the runners-up will receive a cheque of Rs48 million.
