1,857 Tableeghi Jamaat members test positive for coronavirus in Punjab
This brings the total tally of coronavirus infected persons in Punjab to 4,195
LAHORE: The number of Tableeghi Jamaat members who tested positive for the novel coronavirus soared to 1,857 on Monday, according to a tweet by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
The Punjab chief minister, who usually tweets before the day’s end about coronavirus updates from the province, revealed that more than 1,800 Tableeghi Jamaat members tested positive for the virus. More than 60,000 tests have been conducted so far throughout Punjab, with 4,195 yielding positive results as of Monday night.
