Heat wave guidelines issued for this summer

Senator Sherry Rehman, Minister for Climate Change has issued a set of guidelines for the provinces to cope with the upcoming summer season in Pakistan and avoid any major threat.

Every year we see people losing their lives due to the soaring temperatures in different parts of the country. Along with that we see a lot of loss to agriculture when crops wither away to lack of water and extreme sunshine which causes severe damage to economy. With the current state of the economy, we cannot afford to bear any more losses.

In a thread of tweets, the minister said that the necessary standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been provided to all the provinces regarding arrangements for possible heat waves.
