Pakistan reports under a thousand coronavirus cases

ISLAMABAD: For the first time in weeks, Pakistan has reported under a thousand coronavirus cases in a single day.

According to latest figures updated by the National Command and Operation Center, 936 coronavirus cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 275,225.

Another 23 succumbed to the disease, taking the total deaths to 5,865. In addition, 1,410 recoveries have been reported taking total recoveries to 242,436.

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan conducted 19,610 tests for coronavirus and of them 936 cases were reported during the same period.

According to the NCOC, Pakistan’s infection rate has come under 5% for new cases and new tests over a 24 hour period – the lowest in weeks
