The PML-N leader was arrested, according to Geo News, for chanting slogans of “Vote Ko Izzat Do” and “Maadar-e-Millat Zindabad” at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum and damaging government property. The FIR was filed against Safdar by a person named Waqas, a resident of Karachi’s Saadi Town.
It is expected that Safdar will be presented in court today. The PML-N leader, earlier with Maryam Nawaz, chanted slogans of “Vote Ko Izzat Do” at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi which divided social media, with some saying he had violated the sanctity of the mazaar.
