The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the official jersey of its men’s cricket team for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

The kit was revealed during the third and final T20I against Australia at the Gaddafi Stadium after captain Salman Ali Agha was pictured wearing the jersey at the post-match proceedings.

The jersey has a base colour of light green, with darker green patterns layered over it to depict the country’s national animal – Markhor.

The national team’s kit has been named ‘Vanguard Markhor Edition’. The PCB released a brief video featuring top cricketers, including captain Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and star batter Babar Azam.

The development came minutes after the government announced it will participate in the tournament but will skip the group-stage match against arch-rivals India on February 15 in Colombo.

“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan grants approval to the Pakistan Cricket Team to participate in the ICC World T20 2026, however, the Pakistan Cricket Team shall not take the field in the match scheduled on 15th February 2026 against India,” the Government of Pakistan announced in a statement.
