The army chief has been visiting various military headquarters ever since the Kashmir crisis worsened. Tensions have soared between India and Pakistan after the former revoked Article 370 of the constitution. Article 370 recognised Kashmir as a special territory and its revocation meant India annexed it illegally.
Pakistan reacted sharply, downgrading ties with India and suspending trade with New Delhi.
