RAWALPINDI: The newly appointed City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younus on Thursday made history by registering a staggering 1,056 cases pertaining to robberies and burglaries in the past three days.
Addressing a press conference at a police station in the city, Ahsan said that an FIR was a legal document which was the right of each and every citizen to register whenever he had any grievance against anyone.
“Crime cannot be stopped until and unless you cut it from its roots,” he said. One of the first things I did after being appointed the CPO for Rawalpindi was to gather information on crime pockets in my area.”
In response to a question, the CPO said that neither was he appointed on any undue political pressure neither would he tolerate it from anyone.
