Army colonel martyred, two terrorists killed in DI Khan operation

RAWALPINDI: An army colonel was martyred while two terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday.

According on a tip-off about a terrorist activity, security forces conducted an IBO on terrorist hideout near Tank, DI Khan. As soon as troops cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire.

During operation two terrorists (high value targets) were killed while in intense exchange of fire Colonel Mujeeb Ur Rehman embraced shahadat.

During the sanitization operation, a large cache of arms & ammunition was recovered from terrorist hideout.

Col Mujeeb ur Rehman Shaheed hailed from Bunji, District Astore and is survived by a widow, three sons and a daughter.
