Virtual session for MPs is need of the hour: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry has urged the national political parties to embrace the use of technology for holding a virtual session of the Parliament in the wake of coronavirus restrictions.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Chaudhry wrote: “Pakistan’s political parties are inflicting harm to the public and themselves by opposing the use of technology.  A virtual session for parlaimentarians is need of the hour.”

The minister  said that public representatives must participate in the decision-making process in these difficult times.

“When situation gets back to normal, the session can be conducted in the building,” he added.

پاکستان کی سیاسی جماعتیں ٹیکنالوجی کے استعمال کی مخالفت کر کے اپنا اور عوام کا نقصان کر رہی ہیں، پارلیمان کا ورچوئل سیشن وقت کی ضرورت ہے، عوامی نمائندوں کو اس مشکل وقت میں فیصلہ سازی کے عمل میں لازماً شریک ہونا چاہئے، حالات نارمل ہونے کیے بعد عمارت میں بھی سیشن ہوسکتا ۔
