ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded its highest single-day increase in coronavirus fatalities over the past 24 hours, as the country continued to ease virus resections.
On Wednesday, the National Command and Operation Center reported at least 46 deaths, the biggest single-day surge in the country thus far.
It also reported another 1932 cases, bringing the country’s grand totals to over 45, 898 cases and at least 985 deaths, according to the latest data.
Sindh remains the worst hit province with 17, 947 cases followed by Punjab which has 16,685 cases so far. There are 6554 confirmed cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2885 in Balochistan, 556 in Gilgit Baltistan and 133 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The capital city of Islamabad has also recorded 1138 cases of the pandemic. So far 13,101 people have recovered from the disease.
