Ali Zaidi says JIT reports were given to his ‘chowkidar’

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Haider Zaidi, said Tuesday during a talkshow that he was handed the JIT reports of Uzair Baloch, Nisar Morai and the Baldia Factory Fire incident by his ‘chowkidar’ (guard).

Zaidi appeared on ARY News’ programme 11th Hour with Waseem Badami after his explosive press conference where he claimed that the Sindh government had ‘tampered’ with the original JIT of Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch.

When asked as to where dd he obtain the original JIT report of pertaining to alleged crimes by Baloch did he is accused of committing at the behest of senior PPP Sindh leadership, Zaidi made a rather shocking revelation. That his ‘chowkidar’ gave it to him.

According to the minister, his guard was given the JIT reports in a large envelop. The guard gave it to him and he put them away, as he was very tired.

“The next day I got up, looked at the envelope and I got goosebumps,” he said. “Because these [gesturing towards the JIT reports] were inside the envelopes.”
