The E-commerce sector is to grow in Pakistan as global tech giant Amazon has added the country to its sellers list officially.
Abdul Razak Dawood, the adviser to prime minister for commerce and investment, took it to twitter to make the official announcement on Friday.
Few days ago, it was announced that amazon will soon add Pakistan to its official list.
The addition to the list will big new opportunities for exporters in Pakistan to sell their products through the platform.
The platform offers the 3Ps model which serves brand owners. Some of the Pakistan companies are already selling from their overseas offices, but this inclusion will be more effective for small and medium enterprises as well.
Amazon makes approximately $300-400 Billion every year with main users from India and China. Amazon is a consumer-centric marketplace; therefore customers’ satisfaction and reviews are highly important.
The Pakistani products available for sale on amazon mostly range from textile, sports, surgical goods, and leather. Significance of online market places such as amazon has increased due to Covid-19 pandemic as online shopping has now become a necessity.
