Arjit Singh and Ed Sheeran enjoy scooter ride

A video of famous singer Ed Sheeran and Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh riding a scooter through the streets of Jiaganj town in West Bengal, has gone viral.

Ed Sheeran, who is in India for The Mathematics Tour, visited the hometown of singer Arijit Singh in West Bengal where the two were seen enjoying a scooter ride.

In videos going viral on social media, Arijit was seen driving the scooter with Ed Sheeran seated behind. The two were accompanied by a few more friends on their own scooters as they took a ride through town.

In the clip, Sheeran is seen riding pillion behind Singh, both without any security. They visited local landmarks including Phulmore and the banks of the Bhagirathi River.

Fans praised Sheeran’s down-to-earth vibe, with many highlighting his willingness to immerse himself in local culture.

The video has sparked excitement for a potential collaboration between the two music legends, following their memorable duet at Sheeran’s London concert last year.

The singer performed two shows in Bengaluru over the weekend.  He has now been spotted with singer Arijit Singh in his hometown Jiaganj in Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal.

Earlier Ed surprised fans in Bengaluru with an unannounced performance on Church Street. However, he was stopped mid-way by the police, and a video of the incident went viral on social media.

At the Bengaluru concert, he surprised fans by bringing out Shilpa Rao. They sang Chuttamalle together, with Arijit crooning the Telugu lyrics. He has already performed in Hyderabad and Chennai, where he was joined by Indian composer AR Rahman for a special rendition of the classic Urvasi song.
