Asia Cup 2022: Pakistan seals a victory over India in a thriller

Pakistan vs India is a famous rivalry, which is also called ‘The greatest rivalry of cricket.’

In the first match of the Asia cup between the nations, India took the lead in the nail-biter with the help of Hardik Pandya, who finished with a six with three balls required.

However, Pakistan sealed the revenge and won by five wickets with stellar performances of Muhammad Rizwan 71 (51)  and Nawaz 42 (20). The partnership between the two was the key that set the tempo towards crossing the target. 

Asif Ali scored 16 (8) balls after being dropped by Arshdeep Singh on Bishnoi’s over.

In the last over, Pakistan needed seven runs. Finally, Asif Ali got Lbw by Arshdeep sing after smashing a four and a double. Then came Iftikhar, who made two runs and helped the team to cross the line.

From India, it was Kohli, who has been in tremendous form since the beginning of this Asia cup; the return of his condition is not limited to India but globally; it is appreciated as he is called a ‘King.’ Virat Kohli scored 60 (44).

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s ruthless destruction in Power play stabilized the run rate by scoring 50+ in 6 overs, and the middle order continued the acceleration.
