At least 25 killed, scores injured in Dera Ghazi Khan bus accident
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Twenty-five people were killed and more than 60 were injured when a truck collided with a passenger bus Monday.
As per media reports, the shifted were injured to the Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
The collision took place when the bus was travelling from Sialkot to Rajanpur, collided at the Taunsa Road near Jhok Yaro in DI Khan.
District emergency officer rescue Dr Nayyar Alam said 75 passengers were on-board the bus. Sources informed a prominent news channel that the bus and trailer were removed from the accident site and traffic had been restored after the crash.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar expressed grief and sorrow over the incident, lamenting the loss of lives. He gave instructions to authorities to ensure the best medical treatment was offered to the injured.
In a statement, the Punjab chief executive said he stands with the families of the deceased in this hour of grief.
