At least 30 die in Pakistan train crash

GHOTKI: At least 30 people died and scores were wounded when a passenger derailed and collided with another fast moving train in Ghotki district of Sindh on Monday morning.

More than 20 to 25 people are feared trapped in the wreckage.

According to police and eyewitnesses, at least eight bogies of Millat Express going to Karachi from Punjab derailed and rammed into Sir Syed Express.

Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies reached the scene and shifted the victims to nearby hospitals.

Railway officials say that emergency arrangements are being made to transport passengers to their destinations.
