Actress and makeup artist Nadia Hussain took to Instagram Tuesday to raise her voice on the killings of street dogs.
She was reacting to the euthanising of two pet dogs in Karachi over the past couple of days, after they had mauled a lawyer in the city’s DHA area.
The government had taken action against the street dogs and instead of moving them to a proposed shelter, the dogs were given slow poison to kill them.
Many celebrities and social workers had raised their voice on the issue asking the government to stop this and look into the matter, whereas the public on the other hand is happy with the decision of completely getting rid of street dogs.
“Animals are animals no matter where they come from,” she lashed out on Instagram. “It’s sad and pathetic and blood-boiling to see the turn of events that happened with Shaggy & Velder (dogs that attacked the lawyer).”
She lashed out at authorities for culling stray dogs in a cruel manner.
