Bilawal invites Nawaz to virtually attend PPP-led APC

KARACHI: PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Friday invited PML-N quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif to virtually attend an all-party conference being hosted by his party.

The conference will take place on Sunday, September 20.

Taking to Twitter, Bilawal revealed he spoke to Nawaz Sharif and extended an invite to attend the APC.

“Just spoke to Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif. Enquired about his health. Also invited him to virtually attend opposition APC, hosted by PPP, on 20th September,” Bilawal tweeted.

The PML-N leader has been living in London where he he went to undergo treatment for health complications.

In 2017, Sharif was ousted from power by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Panama Papers case.

In 2018, the Pakistani Supreme Court disqualified Sharif from holding public office, and he was later sentenced to ten years in prison by an anti-corruption court.
