Bilawal questions PM Imran’s ‘silence’ on India-China tensions

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari questioned Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ‘silence’ over India and China’s soaring tensions amid the Ladakh stand-off between troops of both armies.

Taking to Twitter, the Bhutto scion slammed the prime minister for being ‘MIA’ whilst an important meeting was held at the ISI headquarters. He said that PM Imran was “shopping for new ATMs” in Karachi and Larkana, meeting his “partisan allies in media and politics” but ignored doctors and the pressing issue of locusts.

“While tensions rose on Ladakh. An unprecedented meeting at ISI HQ. PM was MIA. Busy on a partisan visit to Sindh shopping for new ATMs from khi to larkana, meeting his partisan allies in media & politics. ignored Doctors & COVID, farmers & locust. Still silent on India and China?” he tweeted.

The PPP chairman was referring to PM Imran’s recent visit to Karachi where he met political allies, and the PTI’s Sindh leadership in Karachi and Larkana. PM Imran criticised Sindh government during his visit for imposing a lockdown throughout the country without considering the poor of the country.
