ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday lashed out at the PTI government, calling it the “most corrupt government ever in Pakistan’s history”, slamming the prime minister for being a ‘danger’ to the economy.
Bilawal was speaking at a press conference where he slammed the alleged corruption of the PTI government and said that PM Imran’s sister had also not provided the money trail for her property in New York.
“When did Aleema Khan provide the money trail [for her property]? Where is NAB? Emirates are being established through sewing machines in New York but they are not providing the money trail,” he said, in an indirect reference to the prime minister’s sister.

Lashing out at PM Imran’s special assistant Zulfi Bukhari, he said that a special assistant was part of the Panama leaks case and was a dual citizen but NAB was unable to apprehend him. He alleged that the government, with one phone call, was able to have Bukhari’s name removed from the ECL.
Bilawal said that he was the only politician in Pakistan who opposed Indian PM Modi.
“I am the only politician from opposition and treasury benches to oppose Modi. Unlike the appeasement policy that either of the ruling parties has had with Modi, PPP has always maintained its stance and has opposed him from day one and will do so in the future,” he said.
Bilawal praises Sindh budget
The PPP chairman lavished praise on the Sindh government’s budget, saying that it was for the poor and had provided relief to business that had been hit by the coronavirus.
To support the agriculture sector, Sindh will give subsidy in seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to the small farmers whose land is smaller than 25 acres in a bid to enhance their yield, he said.
In the areas where water is scarce, the agricultural department is providing subsidy in drip irrigation and tube wells,” he said.
In urban centres, loans have been arranged for businesses, while the province is aiming to provide a package to the families whose bread earners have succumbed to coronavirus.
For the women farmers, the Sindh government is providing community-based loans and soft loans.
