Canadian police rule out foul play in Karima Baloch’s death

TORONTO: Toronto Police have reconfirmed that the death of Karima Mehrab Baloch is being treated as a “non-criminal” death and that “no foul play is suspected.”

In a statement on Twitter, the Toronto Police service said it was aware of heightened community and media interest surrounding a missing person investigation.  
“Earlier today, we confirmed a 37-year-old woman was sadly located deceased on Monday, December 21, 2020.”
The police said that Baloch’s family has been informed about circumtances surrounding her death.
“The circumstances have been investigated and officers have determined this to be a non-criminal death and no foul play is suspected.   We have updated the family,” it said.

 

Meanwhile, Pakistani High Commission in Toronto has approached the local police to know the cause of Baloch’s deaths.

Baloch, a Baloch human rights activist, was living in an exile in Canada.
