The coveted Cannes Film will be returning to French Rivieria from May 16 to 28. This year the festival will be showcasing movies of the Indiana Jones and Martin Scorsese along with the comeback movie of the Hollywood legend, Johnny Depp.
The 76th edition of the leading film festival is set to be star studded affair like every year where celebrities from all across globe come together and showcase a wide variety of films.
The complete line up of the movies that will be showcased in the festival this year will be announced on Thursday by the festival director Thierry Fremaux.
Last year, Hollywood films “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Elvis” premiered at the Cote d’Azur and this year, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, with Harrison Ford and Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon”, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro along with “Jeanne du Barry”, in which Depp plays French king Louis XV will be showcased.
Every year around 20 films compete for the coveted Palme d’Or, and was won last year by the Swedish film “Triangle of Sadness”.
The director of this movie, Ruben Östlund will be the head of jury this year.
