DG Khan: Journalists attend consultation on illegal trade

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Scores of noted journalists and columnists attended a consultation in Dera Ghazi Khan district of Punjab to discuss the impact of unlawful trade activities and its impact on Pakistan’s economy.

Dera Ghazi Khan is a key Punjab city bordering Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

PMC team traveled to the city for the consultation.

“In DG Khan, we received an overwhelming response from the local journalists, columnists and intellectuals,” PMC Multan conulstant Zahid Khan.

The participant were given a presentation about the implications of illicit cigarette trade before screening PMC documentary and other video reports on the issue.

Some of the journalists attending the session invited the PMC to hold sessions in neighboring districts and tehsils.

They were found to be well informed about the smuggling routes and involvement of local officials.
