According to the Government of Pakistan, Dr Faisal’s position will hold the status of the federal minister. The development comes a few days later when special assistant to the prime minister on health, Dr Zafar Mirza, resigned owing to criticism on the PM’s cabinet after details of their assets and dual nationalities were made public.
Dr Faisal is also the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Memorial Hospital Trust.
