Dropped catches cost us the match: Babar Azam

After losing a nail-biting test match on Sunday against West Indies in Kingston, Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam said that they had to face the loss because of dropped catches during the last session of the 4th day of the first test match.

West Indies had miraculously defeated Pakistan by just one wicket. It was the 15th one-wicket victory of the West Indies in the history of tests cricket.

While talking to the media, skipper Babar Azam stated that it was an exciting thrilling match, but the green shirts had to face defeat because of dropped catches. He further added that dropped catches change the whole scenario of the game. He expressed his satisfaction towards the team as well stating that the team gave 100% performance in the match.

We got a lot of momentum during the match on various occasions, but we couldn’t manage it, said Skipper Babar.

Azam stated that he was satisfied with the bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Muhammad Abbas, he further hoped that the bowlers would perform well in the next match.
