Establishment must leave political battles to politicians: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called on the military establishment to leave political arena to the politicians or risk being drawn into controversies.

In a series of tweets on Sunday evening, Bilawal Bhutto said that only a government chosen by the people can deliver for the people.

“The selected PM has failed to resign by the deadline set by PDM. had given this illegitimate regime the opportunity to step aside respectfully and allow for a transition to democracy with free, fair & transparent elections,” he wrote.

“The people face historic, poverty, unemployment & inflation because this govt was forced on them.”

The joint opposition must now force the removal of puppets, he said, adding that PPP believes in relying on democratic tactics.

He was of the view that sustained joint efforts inside and outside parliament will ultimately succeed

The PPP chief said that long march and no confidence will hopefully be discussed in our PDM meeting.

“Government’s desperation is clear. It is trying to change rules to rig senate elections because they can see their defeat. IA senate elections will show govt is on shaky ground,” added the PPP leader.
