ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force fighter jet crashed near Shakarparian in the federal capital on Wednesday during rehearsal of March 23 Parade.
The plane crashed near the Pakistan Museum of Natural History park, which is right next to the parade ground.
Rescue teams have been sent to the scene and there are no confirmed reports of injuries or deaths.
In a statement, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) confirmed the crash involving a F-16 plane.

“Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF F-16 aircraft crashed near Shakarparian, Islamabad during the rehearsals of 23rd March parade,” it said.
The PAF also ordered a probe into the crash.
“Rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site of the crash. A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.”
