Fast bowler Junaid Khan hits out at Asad Umar over non-availability of vaccine
Fast bowler Junaid Khan on Tuesday hit out at NCOC chief Asad Umar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial authorities, saying that there were no vaccine doses available in District Swabi, District Mardan and District Bunair.
Junaid Khan highlighted the irony of the NCOC chief asking tourists to get vaccinated before heading to Gilgit-Baltistan and KP but added that there were no vaccines in these areas.
“Joke of the day! @Asad_Umar says covid vaccine is a must for tourists in KPK and Gilgit Biltistan but first @ShahramKTarakai @AsadQaiserPTI and Asad Umar need to know that the vaccination they are making compulsory are not even available,” Junaid Khan added.

“I have asked in District Swabi District Mardan and District Bunair. No vaccine is available. Those that have taken their first dose more than 6/7 weeks ago are still waiting for their second dose. If they are not available where will people get vaccinated from?” Junaid Khan added, asking the NCOC chief.

Earlier, Umar had tweeted that Pakistan had amped up its coronavirus vaccinations on Monday by vaccinating a record 525,000 persons, revealed National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) head Asad Umar.
“For the first time, we crossed half a million doses of vaccination yesterday,” tweeted the NCOC chief.
“Highest ever first dose was also achieved yesterday with 3 lakh 90 thousand first doses administered,” he added.
