Fawad Alam has dedicated his fifth century to his parents.
Speaking to media in Jamaica, Fawad said that Pakistan would try to get the West Indies out as soon as possible
“If the hosts are bowled out for a minimum of runs tomorrow, then we will be in a position to win,” he said.
He said that he spoke to his mother on the phone before the match. “My mother said that you will score a century in this match.”
“The wicket was easy, but not the weather, the first day of the match was very hot and humid.”
The left-hander also became the fastest Asian to score in five centuries.
“I thank God for scoring centuries in five different countries. The ups and downs go on, but my father always encouraged me”
“Celebration style is inspired by Turkish drama,” he added.
