Four soldiers martyred in South Waziristan attack: ISPR

PESHAWAR: Four soldiers embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s restive South Waziristan region, the Pakistan Army’s media wing said in a statement Friday.

According to the ISPR, terrorists attacked a security forces post in Makeen area of South Waziristan late night.

Security forces stationed there responded swiftly, killing four assailants.

“During exchange of fire 4 soldiers embraced shahadat. They have been identified as Lance Naik Imran Ali, as well as Sepoys Atif Jahangir, Anees ur Rehman, Aziz.

“Area sanitisation in progress,” the statement added.

A day earleir, terrorists fired fie rockets from inside Afghanistan in Lagharai sector and Sarakai top, Bajaur.

A 5 year old minor resident of Mamund, Bajaur embraced shahadat while 7 minors including a girl got injured.
