The government has subjected PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz to ridicule and criticism as she embarks on her tour to Gilgit-Baltistan where the politician is expected to campaign for the upcoming elections being held in the country.
Commenting on the development, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, Dr Shahbaz Gill said that the PML-N leader had arrived in the territory to misguide the masses there.
“Those who could not give the country anything, what will they give to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan?” he asked. “Prime Minister Imran Khan has changed the politics of Pakistan,” he said, adding that the prime minister had broken the two-party system in the country and established a just government.
“Those who cry out the slogan of “Vote Ko Izzat Do” are fugitives (from the law) today,” he said, referring to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his slogan.
“The politics of Pakistan has changed, there is no space for dacoits and looters,” he said. “The madam who has been certified as a fraud by the court is now going to Gilgit-Baltistan to mislead the masses there,” added the prime minister’s aide.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter to announce that she had boarded a plane to Gilgit-Baltistan where she will lead the PML-N’s election rally.
