Govt rubbishes reports of Zafar Mirza’s removal as PM’s health aide

ISLAMABAD: The government on Tuesday dismissed reports appeared in a section of media about the removal of Dr Zafar Mirza as Adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health Affairs.

“A section of media has aired news about removal of Dr Zafar Mirza from SAPM on health. It is a totally fake and unfounded story,” the government said in a statement.

“It has been observed that since last few days fake news about important appointments and removals are circulating on social media and some of them are even picked up by main stream media, causing uncertainty.”

Any such news may be verified before airing/ publishing, it added.
