Honey Singh’s wife accuses him of sexual violence, domestic abuse

Yo Yo Honey Singh, Indian rapper and musician, has been accused of financial fraud, sexual violence and domestic abuse by his wife, Shalini Talwar Tuesday.

As per India Today, Talwar has filed a plea in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court under the ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act’. The case was registered today, August 3, before Ms Tania Singh Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the Tis Hazari Court.

Advocate Sandeep Kapur, Apoorva Pandey and GG Kashyap, from law firm Karanjawala & Co. appeared on behalf of Honey Singh’s wife, Shalini Talwar. Hirdesh Singh, better known as Yo Yo Honey Singh, has been sent a notice by the court, asking him to file his reply by August 28.

Honey Singh revealed in 2014 that he was married when he introduced Talwar during a reality TV series.

His song Angrezi Beat in the movie Cokctail went on to become a smash hit, establishing him as a rising star in the Bollywood music scene and enabling him to become a household name in India.

He rapped on many other hit tracks, such as Chaar Botal Vodka, Lungi Dance and Sunny Sunny.
