ISLAMABAD: The hashtag #BoycottBakeryChannel was trending on Twitter on Thursday, hours after PPP leader Palwasha Khan was controversially asked by TV anchor Imran Khan to leave his current affairs show on GNN.
The clip of the heated exchange of words between Palwasha and Imran went viral on Twitter, prompting netizens to slam the anchor for his conduct.
Palwasha Khan also took to Twitter to express her views about the incident. “I will not be silenced,” the politician wrote, sharing an artwork.
PPP MNA Nafisa Shah also called for Imran Khan to apologize for his behaviour.

“He is disrespectful, unprofessional, biased & using his power in a most obnoxious manner, by muting her & then asking her to leave the program. He must publicly apologize to @PalwashaKhan18 or channel must take notice,” Ms Shah tweeted.

terribly arrogant/ignorant anchor talking in first person drowning himself into self praise/self righteousness, trying to prove himself as more popular. Anchors should contest elections to know their worth instead of browbeating politicians and switching off their mics. https://t.co/u1rAXZXvWS
