Imran Khan to open Peshawar bus project on August 13

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan Khan will inaugurate the much-awaited rapid bus transport project in Peshawar on August 13, 2020.

The Peshawar BRT project, which has faced lengthy delays, was launched by PTI government during its previous term in the province.

The cost of the project which was first evaluated at Rs49 billion with a timeline of 6 months, has escalated to be over Rs70 billion, Dunya News reported.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has also ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to conduct investigation of the BRT project but the provincial government challenged the verdict in Supreme Court of Pakistan.
