Indoor dining banned in Karachi

Karachi Commissioner and Administrator Iftikhar Shallwani banned indoor dining in the city from today (Tuesday) as cases of the novel coronavirus surge across the city.

Shallwani ordered deputy commissioners to strictly implement the restrictions so as to curb the spread of the infection, which has seen a steady increase ever since educational institutions were opened across Pakistan in a phased manner from September 15.

According to the Karachi commissioner, indoor dining is banned. Dining will only be allowed at restaurants with open spaces.

Takeaway is also allowed.

The ban has been imposed across the country keeping in mind the surging coronavirus cases across the country.
