IPL match suspended after players test positive for Covid-19

The Indian Premier Match fixure between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore has been postponed after two players contracted Covid-19.

Some members of the KKR team have been sent into isolation, according to local media.

It is for the first time in this season that a match is being suspended.

Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. They both left IPL 2021 Bio-bubble and went for a scan via an official green signal.

However, other KKR players tests have come negative so far. Following this development, the board has rescheduled the match between Kolkata and Bangalore.

A new date for the match will be announced by today’s evening.

So far, Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Virat Kohli-led is in third place in the points table with 10 points while Kolkata Knight Riders are in the seventh position with two wins from seven games they played.
