It’s open littering season as tourism sector opens again in Kumrat valley

UPPER DIR: As the government opened the tourism sector and people flocked to scenic spots within the country, pictures of workers picking up the trash went viral on the internet.

As human beings were locked up inside their homes and the government had sealed off popular destination resorts for people to stem the spread of COVID-19, these places were quite clean and pollution free.

However, after the government opened tourist spots and hotels in exotic locations for the public, trash and litter appeared everywhere.

Former PIA spokesperson Danyal Gilani took to Twitter to post pictures of the district administration in Upper Dir removing litter from Kumrat Valley.
