LAHORE: Singer-turned-politician Jawad Ahmad got into a lengthy Twitter exchange with Rohail Hyatt, the music producer best known for his work on Coke Studio, over comments attributed to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
It started on April 10 when Ahmed called out Hyatt for defending PM Imran Khan’s remarks linking rape with modesty and western movies, and Bollywood culture.
In a series of tweets, Mr Hyatt suggested that Imran Khan’s comments, making international news headlines, were taken out of context by media.
“He’s not saying it’s justified! As a leader he’s simply speaking to us about the ground realities of what is around us. Yes indeed there is a sickness out there and one can contest if the better solution is to target the oppressor as opposed to the oppressed,” he added.
“But that’s not what was being addressed by him. As a father, I’d give the same advice to my child to be mindful of how you dress in our society. Not because I want to give into the sickness, but because I care for the person I’m giving the advice to.”
The reality of someone doing that (God forbid) exists. All woman are my sisters in that sense. I will advise my sister/s to be careful, dress sensibly and I'll also try to expose and root out the sick men. Both solutions go hand in hand I believe And IK didn't justify Rape! Sorry

What is a sensible dress for you that you tell your women to wear and let majority of Pakistanis judge that dress because you and Imran Khan are judging others’ women already.Majority of Pakistanis living in small cities, towns and villages don’t approve western dresses. Now what?

Good question. Modesty is subjective and circumstantial. A woman in a bikini on a nude beach will be considered 'conservative'. In our bazaars, she'll be considered extremely liberal. The dress is the same. Circumstances change the association. Modesty seems like sensible advice!

You are talking stupid again. The subject we are talking about is RAPE and its relationship with fahhashi, behayai and uryani (obscenity, immodesty and nudity) and with REQUIRED OR APPROVED MODEST AND MORAL dress codes for women of Pakistan so that men don’t lose their control.

Answer my simple question about the exact or specific ‘SAFE’ dress code fir your women and the women in Coke Studio and I will not call you stupid and another blind follower and sycophant of Imran Khan who is always ready to defend all his hypocritical stances.
