President Joe Biden has announced via a video that he will be running for the elections in November 2024 as he seeks a second White House term. Claiming that his purpose is to ‘defend America’s democracy’ he said, “When I ran for president four years ago, I said we’re in a battle for the soul of America, and we still are. This is not a time to be complacent. That’s why I’m running for re-election. Let’s finish this job. I know we can.”
Biden will be joined in his 2024 campaign by Vice President Kamala Harris. Previously Donald Trump had announcement in November that he would seek a second term after losing the 2020 elections to Joe Biden.
Biden, 80, will be 86 years when his second term ends should we win the elections next year. He has been declared ‘fit for duty’ by the doctors after an examination in February claiming that he is mentally sharp enough for the stresses of the job.
The 80-year-old Democrat, Biden may be facing the former President Trump yet again in November 2024 elections and defeat him for the second time if the American public decides to vote in favour of the current President.
