Karachi’s Sea View closed for public this Eid ul Adha
KARACHI: With coronavirus cases on the rise in Pakistan generally and Karachi in particular, the government has decided to keep Sea View closed for public.
As per various news reports, police have devised a plan to keep people away from the beach during Eid holidays.
Police will set up a picket at the Khayaban-e-Ittehad Road near Ayesha Masjid while another will be set up near Bilawal House. As per a news report, motorcycle squads will patrol the area to ensure the directions are implemented in full.
SSP South Zubair Nazir said citizens who live near to Sea View will be allowed to enter.
With the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country and in Karachi, the Delta virus taking the city by storm and leading to a spike in coronavirus cases, the Sindh government on July 15, announced that it had banned indoor dining, schools closure of classes I to VIII, recreational places, including water parks, Seaview, Hawkesbay, Keenjhar Lake, swimming pools, cinemas and indoor gyms to be closed for public from Monday (July 19).
