Despite various threats from the BCCI and international players backing out of the league, the Kashmir Premier League is all set to start from the 6th August till the 17th August as the schedule also gets announced and teams heading to Muzaffarabad.
The first match will take place between Mirpur Royals and Rawlakot Hawks. The first qualifier match will be played on 14th August, Eliminator matches will be played on 15th and 16th August while the final will be played on the 17th August.
England Players back out
Players from England have refused to be a part of the league after BCCI had asked the ECB to stop their players from participating in the league.
Monty Panesar has been the latest cricketer to back out from the league stating that he has to begin his commentary career and will want to work in India in the future as well.
Whereas on the other hand former South African player Herschelle Gibbs will be a part of the league and Sri Lankan player Tillakaratne Dilshan will also be a part of the league.
PCB will not allow national contract players for KPL
The Pakistan cricket board announced that it will not allow the players having the central contract to be part of the KPL as the WorldCup is nearby and the players need to work on that rather than a private league. No current big names will be part of the league, the retired players were given the green signal.
