Khalilzad thanks Pakistan for facilitating Afghan peace process

US special envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad on Friday thanked Pakistan for facilitating the process towards the mutual objective of peace in the region.

The US envoy was speaking to Pakistan army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in an official meeting at GHQ in Rawalpindi.

According to a press release issued by ISPR, the media wing of Pakistan army, matters of mutual interest including overall regional security situation and ongoing Afghanistan Reconciliation Process were discussed in the meeting.
