ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain spoke to Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai and reiterated his government’s commitment to encourage women education in war-torn Afghanistan.
In a telephonic conversation with Malala Yousafzai, Chaudhry said that Pakistan is also providing educational facilities to children of Afghan refugees as about six thousand Afghan children are studying in Pakistan.
Malala Yousafzai informed the minister about international concerns on women rights in Afghanistan and said that Pakistan should play an active role to promote women education in Afghanistan.
Malala said she has also written a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan in this regard.
