Multan: Media urged to keep spotlight on illegal trade

An interactive session was held with prominent journalists, vloggers and columnist of Multan about the illicit trade and its impact on Pakistan’s economy.

The session took place at Multan’s Awari Hotel on December 28 with journalists representing both print and electronic media of South Punjab.

The event turned out to be a massive success as bureau chiefs of all top-rated Pakistani TV channels including Geo, Hum News and Daw and Bol TV were in attendance.

Others who attended the session were Ayesha Ramzan  CEO Wisdon Network, Ahmed Pasha (Vlogger), Husnain Riaz APP, Raza Hussain APP English, Aamir Iqbal Bureau chief SAMAA TV, Sehzad Fareed Bureu chief GNN and Javed Amber Buerau chief Bol TV.

Adil Nizami (Hum News), Taseer Subhani (Dawn News), M Sharif Joya (Abb Takk News) Junaid Malik (News One), Shahadad Malik Bureau chief (Geo News, Imran Arshad (Neo TV), Rabia Khan (Capital TV) and Imran Khan (Public News) also joined the interactive session.

Speaking to the participants, PMC Content Editor urged the journalist community of Multan to use their respective media platforms to highlight unlawful business practices and how they were causing a substantial financial loss to the national exchequer.

Later, a documentary and two video clips on tobacco mafia were screened. All the journalists actively took part in the discussion about the menace of illegal tobacco trade.
