Nawaz prohibits PML-N leaders from meeting military, intelligence officials

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday hit out at the army leadership, urging them to “stop this game” as he reacted to the Mohammad Zubair and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa meeting.

Taking to Twitter, the former prime minister said that it was evident from current events how certain meetings are held in secret and others are “advertised in public” to give off a wrong impression.

حالیہ واقعات سے ایک بار پھر ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ کس طرح بعض ملاقاتیں سات پردوں میں چھپی رہتی اور کس طرح بعض کی تشہیر کرکے مرضی کےمعنی پہنائے جاتے ہیں۔یہ کھیل اب بند ہوجانا چاہئے۔ آج میں اپنی جماعت کو ہدایات جاری کررہا ہوں کہ آئین پاکستان کے تقاضوں اور خودمسلح افواج کواپنے حلف کی۔۔۔1/2

پاسداری یاد کرانےکےلئے آئیندہ ہماری جماعت کا کوئی رکن،انفرادی،جماعتی یا ذاتی سطح پر عسکری اور متعلقہ ایجنسیوں کےنمائندوں سے ملاقات نہیں کرے گا۔قومی دفاع اور آئینی تقاضوں کےلئے ضروری ہوا تو جماعتی قیادت کی منظوری کےساتھ ایسی ہر ملاقات اعلانیہ ہوگی اور اسےخفیہ نہیں رکھا جائے گا۔2/2

The PML-N supremo said that he was issuing directives to party members to refrain from meeting military or intelligence agencies’ representatives, adding that if such a meeting was necessary, then permission will be needed from the party leadership.

He said that if such meetings were necessary then they would be made public in future.
