No shame in bringing water bottles for players: Misbah on Sarfaraz controversy

Pakistan Cricket Team Head Coach Misbah ul Haq commented on the recent episode inviting former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who brought out water bottles for his teammates whilst they batted during the first Test match against England, inciting criticism on Twitter.

“Such talk can only originate in Pakistan,” says Misbah. “I remember my time, when against Australia, I was the captain and I was sitting outside and I went in as a 12th man. In my opinion, there is no shame in this,” he added.

Misbah praised Sarfaraz, calling him a great person and a good cricketer.

“Sarfaraz knows it’s a team game and when your three to four players are practicing and not available, he knows whoever is available has to help out,” he added.

“It’s not a matter of disrespect,” he said. “It is the sign of a good team.”

Here;s how Twitter reacted to Sarfaraz bringing water and shoes for his teammates.
