Noor Muakadam case: Zahir Jaffer sent to jail
Zahir Jaffer who allegedly tortured and murdered Noor Mukadam, has been transferred to jail on judicial remand after completion of investigation by police
Justice for Noor, a Twitter handle being run by the victim’s family, shared update on the case on Monday.
“As the police has now completed its investigation of Zahir Jaffer, he has now been transferred to jail on judicial remand. His parents are also currently in jail. Their bail hearing will be on the 4th of August,” it said.
The 27-years-old girl victim was the daughter of former Pakistani diplomat Shaukat Mukadam. She was held hostage, tortured, shot and beheaded by the suspect at his residence.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, a first information report (FIR) was filed against Jaffer, who was apprehended from the scene of the murder, under Section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Islamabad police had also arrested the parents and household staff of Zahir for “hiding evidence and being involved in the murder”
Reported by Police, the police investigation has been concluded and Zahir Jaffer has been sent to jail on judicial remand. His parents are presently incarcerated as well.
