Pakistan administers 100 million Covid vaccine doses
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has administered more than a 100 million Covid vaccine doses, officials says.
The country’s vaccination drive began slowly but multiple restrictions on travellers and government officials have seen jabs accelerate.
“Pakistan administers its 100 millionth Covid vaccine dose,” Fasial Sultan, the PM’s aide on health affairs, tweeted on Saturday morning.
“I want to thank everyone who has made it possible from the public to vaccination staff to health and administrative staff and leadership across the provinces. But we have more to vaccinate. Let’s reach our 2021 targets,” he added.
Pakistan aims to vaccinate about 70 million people by the end of 2021.
